Antonette Benford

Owner, Serenity Business Solutions 

 

Hello!  I’m Antonette Benford – born in Chicago, IL, raised in Memphis, TN and residing in suburban Atlanta, GA.  After college, I immediately began working at Federal Express Corporation, where I spent 17 years in several departments from Hub Operations to Field Sales (and everything in-between).  I took a nine-month respite to spend time with my family and “woo-sah” from the rigors of corporate America. 

 

 

I became the Receptionist at a non-profit organization and was quickly promoted to full-time Administrative Assistant, then to Secretary and later to Office Manager and Secretary.  Again I found myself working 45+ hours a week excelling at a job, but not fulfilling my passion.  

 

 

After prayer and reflection, I decided to create a more flexible schedule while utilizing my skills to help small businesses with administrative tasks.  In August 2005, Serenity Business Solutions was formed.  

 

 

For 23 years, I’ve developed skills in organization, leadership, management, and administration.  I’d been the Office Manager at my husband’s heating and air company, Benford Maintenance Services, for years and assisted several other clients while working full-time outside the home. 

 

 

I developed a genuine passion for helping small business owners and entrepreneurs manage their operations by seamlessly and efficiently taking care of day-to-day tasks that are often overwhelming to them.  I am always devising ways to make life easier by “working smarter and not harder” through the use of technology and creativity.  At Serenity, we focus on quality, accuracy, problem solving, and teamwork.

We create partnerships with clients, getting to know their personality, work ethics, and business goals.  Our ideal client is one who is aggressive with his/her business strategies and doesn’t mind delegating responsibilities; one who is trustworthy, respectful, friendly, and operates with integrity at all times.  

 

Our clients are open and honest, and share their business vision with us in an effort to create effective solutions.  Although I am very flexible, procrastination is one of my personal pet peeves.  I also like to laugh and interact with customers with a sense of humor.
